When I was 13 I was home babysitting my younger sister, waiting for Mom to get home from work. I was lying on the couch, with my feet towards the door, wide-awake, watching TV. I heard the screen door open and there was a distinct knock. Thinking Mom was home, I looked behind the curtain (the door was 1/2 glass w/curtain), before opening the door, making sure it was mom...I was shocked to see a cloudlike luminous, human shape holding the screen open. I shut the curtain fast. I was so scared. Mom came home about 15 minutes later. I told her about what I saw and she thought I was crazy and I must have imagined it. Mom is still alive (75) and remembers this. She believes me now!! Through the years I tried to figure out what I saw and why. It took many years for me to sort this out to my liking. Many years later I remembered that about a year before this happened to me, the neighbor’s wife had died from alcoholism leaving 2 children. The children, my friends, Steve and Linda, were about 12 and 16. She died in their home and I think her energy wanted to make peace with them. Our houses were almost identical and all the homes were new when we moved in. What made me always wonder who and why, was strengthened a few years later.
